We are currently seeking a total of three (3) Board members. Two (2) Board members must be currently working in at least a senior management position in one of our current member agencies and One (1) board member may be a member of the community-at-large.

Candidates may have a high level of understanding of the issues facing the woman abuse sector and/or related experience in one or more of the following areas: fundraising, marketing, social media and/or general leadership.

The Role of the WomanACT Board of Directors is to provide overall direction, monitoring and supervision for the organization in keeping with its mission, vision, values and contractual liabilities.

The Board of Directors governing roles includes:

  • Reviewing and updating WomanACTs Strategic Direction and Priorities, Developing Governance Policies including mission, values, budget s and oversight of the Executive Director.

  • Ensuring adequate financial resources are generated and allocated so that WomanACT can accomplish its mission, vision and values.

Please note: Applicants will be invited to an Orientation Session on Tuesday, May 31st, 2016 from 6-8pm.
