WomanACT is proud to present the 2016 Soul of a Warrior Awards

What is a warrior? It is a term that carries different meanings respective to the context. We describe a true warrior as one who protects and works towards balance and peace.

The WomanACT Soul of a Warrior is a new award given to exceptional front line workers in the Violence against Women sector.

Each year, in the context of International Women's Day, WomanACT will be honouring those colleagues who stand side by side with their clients during very difficult times.

In 2016, WomanACT will honour front line staff who excel in the following areas:

** Children's Advocate
** Immigrant and Refugee Women Advocate
** Legal Advocate
** Transitional, Outreach and Housing Advocate
** Community Engagement
** Lifetime Achievement Award
