Global News interviews our Executive Director, Harmy Mendoza

September 6, 2013

Global News came by our office again today; this time to speak with us about a sexual assault that happened at York University during a frosh week party.

Executive Director, Harmy Mendonza reminds us that only 1 in 10 sexual assaults are reported. We all have the responsibility to break the silence and keep the conversation going.

WomanACT hopes the school student federation at York continues to work with the administration to develop a sexual assault policy and educational programs on what sexual assault means.

We want to hear from you. Do you feel safe at your school? Send us a message and let us know. socialmedia@womanabuse.ca
