Practitioners and Service Providers

WACT has a network of standing committees that generally meet monthly and are made up of front line service providers. All of the committees have a similar mandate and terms of reference. Including to support those working in violence against women; to promote the development of great capacity among practitioners; and to promote inter-sectoral communication and coordination.

One of the most important philosophic principles of WACT is that the voices of women survivors should inform policy and program development and planning. WACT is pleased to support Women's Voices for Action - the accountability committee of the Council composed of women survivors.

If you are a practitioner or woman survivor who would like to join one of our committees, please contact the committee coordinator specific to your area of interest. Information about our committees and the committee coordinator’s contact information can be found here.
